CORE Systems is acronym for Complex Objects Realization and Exchange Systems.

CORE Systems provides a common repository of required operational information for an Area of Interest that can be developed, managed and shared to provide a common basis for Situation Awareness and Understanding (SA/SU), Commander & Staff Estimates, Operational/Functional Planning and Systems of Systems Analysis.

• Complex Mapping Interface
Based on SA/SU concepts, CORE Systems assists military commanders and analysts gain spatial, temporal, systems and functional appreciations of an Area of Interest or Battlespace. For any Area of Interest/Operations there are objects and events that have operational significance for Defense and Operational Planning, Preparing Operational and Functional Estimates.

The military commanders begin with a view of the world and proceed to define the area of interest. They can create and edit complex objects and events on the map, which are represented as point, multi-curve and polygon features. The map interface provides intuitive and comprehensive objects searching and locating capabilities, and layer controls to aid visibility of objects and events.

• Dynamic Object Data Schema and Automatic Windows Forms Generation
The data management modules allow you to tailor your object types and define their required properties. Complex data structures that include narrative with user defined document styles, with embedded images and tables, are supported. This is supported by a sophisticated automatic windows forms generation according to the data structures of the object types defined by the user. Forms with word processor-like interface.

Access to the data management is restricted to Data Managers, who defines the data structures and, hence, the data requirements of the system. Such flexible architecture and design reduces the cost of maintenance and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) of the system.

• User Defined Report Templates
In addition to being capable of generating a set of pre-defined reports, CORE Systems enhances its flexibility by allowing Data Managers to dynamically create and design report style templates. The users can then pick and choose the report template to generate the style of report appropriate to its purpose.

Industrial Standard:

CORE Systems deploys the C2IEDM data model.

C2IEDM (Common and Control Information Exchange Data Model) is a data model that is managed by the Multilateral Interoperability Programme (MIP). It originated with experts from various NATO partners and from the Partnership for Peace nations. This data model is in the process of being submitted to OMG for consideration as the standard for information exchange. It falls under the shared operational picture exchange service.

C2IEDM identifies five root entities which are applicable to multiple industries:
